Turkey Injector Marinade
The best part about deep frying a turkey is the incredible flavor variety that you get when you use a turkey injector marinade. This is accomplished by using a big needle and actually injecting extra flavor into the turkey. Injector marinades made the turkey much more juicy and moist and make the turkey dinner that you’re preparing a lot more interesting.
First thing you’ll need is a turkey injector. The two most popular injectors on the market can be found here and here
. Both will jazz up your turkey with no problems so its up to you if you want to spring for a fancier stainless steel injector or a regular one. And don’t worry this isn’t something that you’ll only use on Thanksgiving. It also works great on other meats. Now go ahead and try a few of these turkey injector marinade recipes.
Buttery Injector Sauce
- 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
- 4 tbs Butter
- 1 tbs Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- Salt to taste
Melt Butter in a pan or microwave
Mix butter in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients except salt
Add salt slowly and taste. The sauce should only taste slightly salty
Whisk or use electric mixer until well blended and ready to be injected
Inject mixture into turkey
Place turkey in oven bag or in a large bowl with a cover
Refrigerate overnight
Cajun Injector Sauce
- 1 stick Butter
- 6 oz Hot Sauce
- 1 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 cup White Wine
- 1 tbs Onion Powder
- 1 tbs Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Creole Seasoning
Melt Butter in a pan or microwave
Mix butter in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients
Whisk or use electric mixer until well blended and ready to be injected
Inject mixture into turkey
Place turkey in oven bag or in a large bowl with a cover
Refrigerate overnight
Grand Mariner Injector Sauce
- 1 stick Butter
- 1/2 cup Grand Marnier
- 1/2 cup Hot Sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tbs Garlic Powder
- 2 tbs Onion Powder
- 2 tsp Liquid Smoke
- 2 tsp Oregano 1 tbs Salt
- 1 tsp Chipotle Seasoning
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp White Pepper
Melt Butter in a pan or microwave
Mix butter in a bowl with the rest of the ingredients except salt
Whisk or use electric mixer until well blended
Strain through a cheese cloth or fine mesh
Inject mixture into turkey
Place turkey in oven bag or in a large bowl with a cover
Refrigerate overnight
Moist Maker Injector Sauce
- 1 can Chicken Broth (8 oz)
- 3 fluid ounces Garlic Oil
- 1 tbs Salt
- 4 tbs Hot Sauce
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 3 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
Whisk or use electric mixer until all ingredients are well blended and ready to be injected
Inject mixture into turkey
Place turkey in oven bag or in a large bowl with a cover
Refrigerate overnight
Sweet & Spicy Injector Sauce
- 8 oz Beer
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 3 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 tbs Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tbs Poultry Seasoning or Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 2 tsp of Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp of Onion Powder
- 1 tsp of Paprika
Mix all ingredients in a bowl
Whisk or use electric mixer until well blended and ready to be injected
Inject mixture into turkey
Place turkey in oven bag or in a large bowl with a cover
Refrigerate overnight

One of the final things to think about when buying electric deep fryers is the basket. You should look for a model that has a mechanism to raise and lower the basket. You should also make sure that the mechanism lowers the basket into the oil slowly. This will help ensure that no oil splashes around.
